About Me

My path to becoming a therapist began with my own mental health challenges and family trauma. Growing up in a multicultural household meant questions of identity, difference, and belonging were always present. On the outside I looked fine. Inside I often carried pain and loneliness, unsure if anyone would truly understand. These early experiences taught me something essential: healing becomes possible when another person sees you clearly and meets you with understanding.

My first career was in early childhood education, where I witnessed firsthand how early relationships leave lasting imprints, shaping the way we feel, cope, and connect later in life. Over time, I wanted to make a greater impact than was possible in the classroom, which led me to a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology and advanced training in Psychoanalytic Psychology.

I am a lifelong learner and seeker. My own therapy and weekly consultation with colleagues mean I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise into the room. This ongoing commitment keeps my work grounded, and ensures I approach each client with curiosity and depth.

How I Work Today

My work is depth-oriented and integrates EMDR, parts work, somatic therapy, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Together, these approaches help us understand not only why certain patterns developed, but also create opportunities for those patterns to shift at both an emotional and nervous system level.

As your therapist, I bring warmth, engagement, and curiosity. I listen closely, ask direct questions, and at times use humor or play to open things up. I don't just sit back and nod. I help you notice patterns, gently challenge coping strategies that no longer serve you, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Together, we might uncover that anxious thinking is your mind's way of creating safety, or that anger is protecting you from loss. When hidden emotions and protective parts are brought into awareness, new freedom and choice become possible. This opens the way toward greater connection and a life that feels authentically your own. Looking inward can be daunting, but you don't have to do it alone.

Meet the Office Manager

This is Kaya!

Kaya has a calm, gentle presence and a knack for helping people feel at ease. Around here, she also takes her job very seriously. Her responsibilities include greeting everyone at the door, supervising from the corner of the room, and occasionally offering a perfectly timed sigh when a session gets heavy.

She's usually close by, and she sometimes joins sessions when it feels supportive. If having her in the room would help you settle in, just ask!
